Breaking News: Karakorum Expeditions Rope-Fixing Team Summits Laila Peak Again! ️

On 14th September 2025, the Karakorum Expeditions core team lead by Mr. Mirza Ali – Rope fixing Team including Arshad Karim, Ahmad Baig, Rizwan Dad, and Waqar Ali – successfully reached the summit of Laila Peak (6,096m) at 5:30 PM, fixing ropes for our clients along the challenging Northwest Face.

Remarkably, the team summited at the exact same time last year, proving once again their unmatched skill, consistency, and dedication. This year’s climb was even more demanding, with dangerous rockfall and icy conditions, yet our climbers overcame every challenge. The full journey from Milenka Camp to the summit and back took 17 hours – a true testament to their strength and determination.

The Karakorum Expeditions Legacy Direct Route

In 2024, our team established a new direct route on Laila Peak through its Northwest Face, naming it the Karakorum Expeditions Legacy Direct Route. This year, they fixed 1,400 meters of rope on the same route, ensuring a safer passage for all climbers aiming to conquer this iconic Hushe Valley peak.
